About Solo's Owner

​Melissa Parcels RDH

Melissa is the clinic owner of Solo, The Dental Hygiene Spa. She was born and raised in Hamilton, Ontario, and moved to Calgary in 2008. She spent years as a dental assistant and administrator prior to going into dental hygiene school and opening her own practice in 2012.
She graduated with honours and the "Student of Excellence" award along with the "Golden Scaler" clinical award for The Canadian College of Dental Health. She has completed several expanded learning skills and earned certifications including; laser gum therapy, laser whitening, Nitrous Oxide sedation and her local anesthesia certification.
She has always had the goal of having her own clinic/spa where patients can have an "experience" and feel valued and relaxed. She believes in the big dream, hard work and patient-centered care. She looks forward to meeting you as patients at Solo in the near future.

Melissa has sat on the CBMCA board in recent years and enjoys helping communities build strong relationships. She also runs Calgary College of Dental Health programs as their founder and Director. When she is not working she is on family adventures with her husband and son.
